Thursday, January 7, 2010 - On Thursday at 2350 hours, the Hose Company was alerted for the dumpster fire to the rear of the Pepsi Plant, at 1300 Post Road. Chief 5-1, Chief 5-2, Engine 512 (w/6) and Engine 514 marked up shortly after alert. Chief 5-1 and Engine 512 were first to arrive at 2354 hours with smoke showing from the dumpster and quickly went to work, deploying a 1 3/4" handline. The fire was knocked quickly and crews cleared at 0016 hours. Chief 5-1 (Carroll) held the "Post Road" command.
