Thursday, June 11, 2009
-
Susquehanna Hose Company awarded three firefighters of the Month for May.  Lt. Melana Carroll and Jim Simpers received the award for Division 4 for all their extra duties performed in the month.  Melana and Jim spent two days at the firehouse doing fire prevention and tours for the local schools.  Jim and Melana also spent numerous hours around town selling extra raffle tickets for the SHCO fundraiser at Bill Batemans on May 30.  Lt. Scott Pentz also received the award for projects he has been working on for the Chief and President the last three months.  Scott updated our Firefighters on the Year plaques that is displayed at our House 4.   He then updated our Past Presidents and Past Chiefs plaques also displayed at our House 4.  The Presidents Plaque was a new purchase that displays the names and years of all SHCO Presidents since SHCO's inception.  This was a very tedious job that required alot of research.  Congratulations to Jim, Melana and Scott for a job well done.
