TUESDAY NIGHT - RUNNIN' LINES

Tuesday, November 15, 2011  On Tuesday night, members reported to House 2 for weekly Tuesday Night training.  Members spent time stocking the soda machines outfront, while Captain Bannon went over the Engine with new probationary member Chris Hackett.  Members then enjoyed dinner prepared by Pop Goll & Mr. Taylor and then headed out on the wagon for training.  The wagon & crew of 8 went to the Lock House and practiced running the 150' pre-connected triple fold (#9) and the 250' pre-connected minuteman (#8).  The crew remained out for approximately one hour going over the lines, running & loading them.

THE ENGINE COVERS COMPANY 3

Thursday, July 7, 2011  On Thursday, Engine 512, with 6 volunteers, transferred to Company 3 House 1 while their members attended the funeral of Firefighter Andrew Eilbacher.  Engine 512 remained at Company 3 from 0900-1400 hours and had one run during that time.  The 304 Fire Box was alerted at 1315 hours for the reported exterior fire with extension to the building at the Red Lobster.  Engine 512 (Bannon) was first on scene at 1317 hours with nothing showing from the one story commercial. Crews found an extinguished mulch fire that had began spreading up the exterior wall & checked for extension (minor).

The Officers & Members of Division 2 would like to once again send their condolences to the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company while dealing with their loss.

WAGON COVERS COMPANY 3

Saturday, April 16, 2011  On Saturday evening, members of 52 loaded up in the Wagon, Utility and personal vehicles and made their way to Company 3.  Members staffed the Wagon and also Rescue 351 from 1630 hours (Saturday) to 0700 hours (Sunday), while Company 3 members attended their banquet.  While at Company 3, members of 52 responded on three runs (two MVAs and one fire alarm) and also enjoyed a great dinner prepared by Pop Goll, Mr. Taylor & Bun Jr.  It was a fun night for the members and we look forward to next year.

TUESDAY NIGHT TRAINING @ 52

Wednesday, March 30, 2011  On Tuesday night, the 52 crew loaded up in the Wagon & Utility and headed over to a dwelling that was donated to them for the use of training.  Crews conducted Engine Company and Truck Company drills, which included advancing lines, throwing ladders, venting, overhaul and searches.  It was a great night of training for all and we would like to send a special thanks to the Lawders for donating the dwelling to us.

Sunday, November 14, 2010  On Sunday morning, members of the 52 House loaded up on The Wagon and headed to the West Chester Fire Department Training Center in West Chester, PA.  The members of 52 were invited by Company 8 to tag along as they had the facility for the day.  Crews conducted multiple scenarios and enjoyed a great day of training.  The 52 members would like to send a special thanks to Company 8 for the invite and to Company 3 for providing lunch.

TWO COVER ASSIGNMENTS AT THE BUSIEST COMPANIES IN THE COUNTY = 1 RUN FOR 52

Saturday, April 17, 2010  On Saturday April 17th, a crew of 8 loaded up on the Wagon and headed to Company 3 for a cover assignment during their banquet.  The Wagon & Crew stayed at Company 3 from 1600 hours until 0700 hours and had one run (carbon monoxide detector).  Even though it was a slow night, we still enjoyed an awesome dinner prepared by Captain Goll, Pop Goll & Mr. Taylor.  We would like to thank Bel Air for the invite and look forward to next year.

On Saturday May 1st, a crew of 5 loaded up on the Wagon and headed to Company 8 for a cover assignment while their members went to training.  From the hours of 0630 to 1400 hours, the Wagon didn't turn a wheel (besides lunch and visiting Station 12 Edgewood).  To everyone's surprise (sarcasm), as soon as the Wagon backed in 52, the 801 box was struck for the reported house fire.  We still had a good time at Joppa and would like to thank them for the invite.

Any time you need a fill in and don't want to worry about missing a run, just give us a call lol.
