Tuesday, January 10, 2012 On Tuesday at 1513 hours, the 212 fire box was struck for 309 S Parke Street for the reported apartment fire, which brought Engine 512 (w/8, Battalion Chief 2 Hinch).  Engine 211 (Chief Hinch) was first on scene with heavy smoke from a two story apartment building.  At that time, the box assignment was filled and the working fire dispatch was alerted, which brought Engine 513 & Engine 514.  Crews found fire on the first and second floor, which extended above the ceiling on the second floor.  The fire was quickly knocked and crews continued to check for extension before clearing after approximately an hour.  The fire is currently under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office and Chief 2 (Hinch) held the "S Parke Street" command.
